Event Lighting Rental for Montana Evenings
For event lighting rental, Celebrate stocks string lights in 10 to 80 foot runs, eight chandelier styles, a vintage lamp post and lanterns. Short winter days mean a holiday party needs its own light, and our crew hangs it from tent peaks and barn beams and sets lamp posts along a path.
Event lighting for tents, barns and yards
Celebrate's lighting catalog covers two groups: decor lighting for tents, barns and tables, and pro lighting for a stage or dance floor. Our crew plans the layout with you before delivery, matching string lights, chandeliers and lamp posts to the room's shape.
A wedding tent gets its own lighting plan, since tent peaks and pole placement vary by tent style.

Lighting for a holiday order
For a holiday order, three lighting pieces do the work: string lights over the dance floor, a chandelier over the buffet and a lamp post along the walk from parking to the door. Lanterns on the tables add light at eye level.
Our holiday party rentals page lists the rest of a holiday order, from heaters to tables.

What is the difference between a chandelier and string lights?
A chandelier hangs as one fixture over a single spot, a cake table, a bar or the center of a dance floor, and reads as a design piece on its own. String lights spread light across a whole peak or beam line instead of one point.
Our chandeliers include barn style and crystal designs, and string lights run from a short bistro pole up to an eighty foot reel. A frame party tent has no center poles, so string lights run clean along the roof line with nothing in the way.
What kind of event lighting fits my space?
A tent peak takes string lights, a walkway takes lamp posts and a draped wall takes uplights. The table matches each lighting type to where it goes and the look it gives, to help size an order before calling (406) 837-3040.
| Lighting type | Where it goes | The look it gives |
|---|---|---|
| String lights | Tent peaks, barn beams | Warm, even glow overhead |
| Chandelier | Over a cake, bar or dance floor | A single statement piece |
| Lamp post | Walkways and entries | Guides guests after dark |
| Lantern and candle | Tables and place settings | Soft light at eye level |
| LED uplight | Walls, tent liners, stage | Color and a wash of light |
Mixing two or three types, such as string lights overhead with lanterns on the tables, adds depth that one type alone does not. See the full lighting catalog for what is in stock for your date.

Can you add uplights or dimming for a reception?
Yes. Our pro lighting catalog carries Opti Par and Par 38 fixtures for uplighting, a dimmable switch and a 20 inch LED black light, for a band, a head table or a dance floor. Tripods, a support bar and sandbags hold the fixtures in place outdoors.
Lights on a lawn or in a tent need a power source, and Celebrate rents a 3.0 KW Honda generator for that.
Lighting by event type
The cards below group lighting by setting: a dining room, a barn, a tent and a stage. Each card names the fixtures that suit that setting, so you can start from the one closest to your event and adjust from there.
Holiday dinners
String lights and lanterns warm a holiday dining room.
Barn receptions
Chandeliers and string lights turn open rafters into a lit room.
Tented events

Corporate parties
Uplights and dimming set the mood for a company event after dark.
What to send us for a lighting quote
A lighting plan begins with the space: the tent, barn or room, and when the event runs past daylight. Share those details and we match string lights, chandeliers, lamp posts or uplights to the layout before the fixture count is set.

Event lighting rental questions
How much does it cost to rent event lighting?
Event lighting pricing depends on your date, the space and the fixture count, and we send a clear number up front once we know them.
Can I rent a lamp post on its own?
Yes, the vintage lamp post rents on its own for a walkway or entry, without the rest of a lighting order.
What is the difference between decor lighting and pro lighting?
Decor lighting covers string lights, chandeliers, lanterns and candles for the look of the room. Pro lighting covers Par fixtures for uplighting, a dimmable switch and black light for a band or a show.
Can lighting go outside in a Montana winter?
Yes. String lights and the lamp post are both set up outdoors on winter orders. Tell us the setup, and we plan the fixtures and the power for the weather you expect.
Do candle holders, votives or disco balls rent separately from string lights and chandeliers?
Yes. Candle holders, votives and disco balls rent on their own or alongside string lights and chandeliers.
