Wedding Rentals in Whitefish, Montana
Whitefish weddings, from lake lawns to lodges up toward Big Mountain, get their tents, tables and linens from Celebrate Event Rentals, about 40 minutes south in Bigfork. We bring chairs, bars, lighting and lounge pieces too, and our own crew sets everything before the guests arrive and strikes it after.
A lake town, a ski town, and the doorstep of the park
Whitefish sits at the north end of the Flathead Valley, between Whitefish Lake and Big Mountain, with Glacier National Park a short drive east. Summer brings weddings on the lake and in the trees. Winter brings ski-season parties, and fall brings color on the mountain.
Plenty of Whitefish events are planned from out of state, by couples or families with a place on the lake. What they need from a rental company is someone local who can look at the site, size the order to it, and show up on the day without being chased.
Glacier Park International Airport sits between Kalispell and Whitefish, so guests who fly in land in the middle of the Valley, and the park entrance at West Glacier is about 25 miles east of town. When a Whitefish wedding turns into a long weekend, each event on it, a welcome party, the wedding and a farewell brunch, has its own rental list. We quote them together on one order, and one crew handles all three.

What rentals does a Whitefish wedding need?
It depends on the site. A lakefront home usually needs the full room: a tent sized to the lawn, tables and chairs, linens, tableware and a bar. A lodge with its own hall may only need linens, a dance floor and lounge pieces to finish the space.
Either way we start with your guest count and your site, and build the list from there. Send us a few photos of the lawn or the room and we can tell you which half of that list you need.
Lake lawns, lodges and ranch land: what each site needs
Whitefish events happen in three kinds of places. Each one changes what the truck carries and what the tent has to do.
Lake lawns
A lawn on the lake sets the size of the tent before the guest count does. We fit the tent to the flat ground, keep the view open toward the water, and add sidewalls for the evening, when the air off the lake turns cool.
Lodges and halls
A lodge already has walls, power and often a dance space. What it usually needs is finishing pieces: linens in your colors, a lounge area by the fireplace, a bar where traffic flows, and extra tables for a guest count bigger than the room's own set.
Ranch and open ground
Open land between town and Columbia Falls comes with nothing. Plan the whole room: a tent with sidewalls, tables, chairs and tableware, generators for the caterer and band, and lighting for the walk back to the cars.

How a Whitefish event changes with the season
June through September is peak season. Lakefront lawns and wooded properties fill with weddings, and tents, linens and dance floors book early. A July or August date on the lake is worth reserving as soon as the date and the site are set. Late September and October bring color on Big Mountain and fewer crowds in town, and most fall events use a tent with sidewalls and heat.
Winter is ski season. Holiday and ski-season parties lean on lounge furniture, heaters and fire pits, and our crew sets them the same way as a summer wedding. For walls, heat and cooling in any month, see our wedding tent planning guide.
